Common questions
How much is the referral fee?
25% of my side of the commission, written into the referral agreement before I contact your client.
How and when is it paid?
At closing, from my brokerage to yours. Referral fees are paid between brokerages, so your broker will pay you according to your own arrangement.
Do I need an active license?
Yes. You'll need an active real estate license in your state and a managing broker who can receive the fee.
What if my client doesn't buy or sell?
The fee is earned only if the transaction closes. If plans change, I'll let you know.
Will you send my client back if they move again?
If your client later relocates to your market, I'm happy to refer them back to you.
Which areas do you cover?
Salt Lake, Utah, Tooele, Davis, Weber and Summit counties. If your client is headed somewhere else in Utah, send them anyway and I'll make sure they're in good hands.
